Thank you. I was beginning to think this place was full of imbeciles. At last a voice of reason. Bravo! :happy
JC wins EASY he takes his cheque and returns home laughing. RJJ will not win a thing, he is past it. It is a lose lose fight for him, except Joe ain't gonna lose.
It's so obvious the fact Calzaghe has a zero on his resume drives you bonkers. Let it be, unless you have a time machine just enjoy the boxing match
No he didn't he said he didn't want to be the third person to knock out Roy Jones Junior. He won't knock him out :good
I am a fan of Calzaghe, but first and foremost, I am a fan of boxing...i think everyone realizes that this is a glorified exhibition. Speaking relatively, I think that most of the comments made on this board that are pro calzaghe are based on retaliation due to the enormous anti-calzaghe sentiment. I just don't understand where all of the hatred comes from. Yes, he likes to talk, but there are lots of fighters that do also that receive much less criticism. Everyone is entitled to their opinion without having to deal with someone calling them an idiot or nuthugger. I wish certain members of this forum would grow up and discuss boxing without resorting to name calling or childish insults.
What I don't get is this arse hole says it is a meaningless fight yet all the Calzaghe hater (e.g american hype job fans like Lacy, Taylour, Pavlik fans) made out like he was going to lose it untill Hopkins destroyed Pavlik.
SO what if calzaghe beats jones and jones has a rematch with hopkins and wins ...would it still be meaningless as hopkins is the dogs bollocks now after beating pavlik.
Yes. As others have mentioned, this is about making $$$ (for both fighters), beating a 'name,' and getting more notoriety for Joe. Of course, if Roy can put it all together, you never know. I doubt that will happen, but I didn't think Hopkins could do what he just did, either. As was also mentioned, though, Joe is 36.5 years old. He's not exactly fresh on the scene himself.
