Definitely. Dawson takes too many breaks that plays into Bhop's style. Also, remember that Bhop eats southpaws for lunch (with the exception of Calzague who has an awesome work rate and footwork)
southpaws for lunch eh? fancy i dont remember any of the southpaws he fought being a naturally right handed fighter like chad (you wouldnt think that though watching chad he is good with both hands). That alone screws that argument in the ground.
Of course he COULD beat him. He's the LEGEND. But it would be a very competitive fight imo, Dawson would have a good chance to prevail too.
definetly a chad fan no doubt. And dont get it ****ed up, prime hopkins beats chad 10/10 times. Hops is too old to fight a guy like chad right now. His fight with joe is proof of that.
I dont think so...styles make fights. Dawson is too skilled too fast and too much energy for Hopkins...it would be the Hopkins Jones fight all over.
Hopkin takes more breaks than Dawson and he gives up a reach advantage and a speed advantage. Chad is all bad for Hopkins...
I'd give Bernard the slight edge. I'd be ugly and he'd have to rattle his cage early. Dawson is fast but takes breaks and doesn't push the pace like a Joe Calzaghe, which would be in Hopkins favor. Only way Dawson could win would be to out work Hopkins, pull back and throw when BHop tries to clinch (which he will), and try not to get KTFO by the sneaky right hand which happens to be Hopkins best punch and coincedently the punch that Dawson has shown to be most suseptible to. But like I said, I'd be UGLY. The fight I'm more interested in seeing and apparently no one else is would be Chad Dawson vs Roy Jones Jr. I think there styles would provide for a very crowd pleasing fight.
Dawson had his problems with Glen Johnson and Tarver before coming though - he's still young - waaaay younger than the guys ranked around him, but at this stage I would favour B-Hop.
Possibly, but i'm not confident he would. And I picked Bernard over Tito, Tarver and Pavlik. Dawson is NOT Pavlik. I would be surprised but not shocked.
:huh Huh? The only rounds Tarver won was when Dawson almost decided to take a break and let Tarver get in some work. Dawson completely dominated Tarver from 1-12. It was a mismatch. And i didn't expect that.
Being a Dawson fan is all well and good...but seriously, at least make an attempt to be objective. The crowd booed mercifully at the decision going to Dawson...yet you say he beat Glen handily? I had Dawson winning, but that my friend was the epitome of a close fight. And through it, Dawson, when boxing was in command, but CONTINUALLY lost his composure and tried to brawl with Glen. What ****ing fight did you watch anyway??? And I like how you omitted in your quoting of me the fact that you thought Hopkins beat Johnson when he was 20 - 0 and he was some prospect!!! LMAO! Classic...
Who knows if Jones loses to Calzaghe Hopkins may have to look in Chad's direction ..Its a fight that im sure Hopkins wouldn't mind making ..
