Taylor was a better boxer, but Pryor was a better chopper... Both guys peaked fast and fell hard.... My guess is that Aaron Pryor TKO's Meldrick Taylor late in a dream fight....:yikes

Im a big fan of the Hawk but I think SweetPea is too slick and can take the punishment.

Yeah.... Whitaker could've beaten Pryor on speed and reflexes alone, but P.W. had no real power to hurt Pryor with.... Whitaker on points.....

Taylor was very gutty and willing to trade, and that's where he gets clocked and stopped by Pryor..... Peace...

Taylor is too hittable and Pryor throws too many hard punches for him. Would look similar to Taylor-Chavez but with a more brutal ending in the 9th.

Pryor takes Taylor down after Taylor gets drawn into exchanging with him. Only a matter of time.

Pryor for me, he makes this a fight, Taylor obliges, Taylor is fast, but Pryor's PACE is fast. He keeps it at that pace and most likely stops him, possibly a decision though.

Pryor for me, his punches would be just more effective and Taylor doesn't move enough and exchanges too much for a lighter hitter

Taylor was a cut above Pryor. I think he'd sneak home with the decision.

It's close, i tell you. Taylor is one of very few that might match him for frenetic workrate.

Still thinking. I think Taylor's underrated.

Yeah, one cant deny Taylor as a helluva matchup for any light-welter h2h, could likely beat most. But to be honest, and i know its looking like a consensus now, i knew who i was taking to emerge victorious as soon as i saw the thread. No disrespect at all there to Meldrick, but i do see it that way personally.

Taylor can still beat pryor in my opinion, all he has to do is do the same job he did with chavez, moving + throwing fast combinations the same scenario thru all 12 rounds, and he'll get the easy UD.
