Its nice to see people finally giving Kessler his due, especially when he hasn't done anything since that fight to give anyone anything to talk about. Its times like these that usually set themselves up for the perfect foil. When's Kessler fighting again?

its so frustrating that kessler fights so few times since, he should be dominating the SMW division now

That was a joke. He's fighting Danilo Haussler on Saturday.

I wouldn't put so much value on Kessler changing tactics or adapting in the last rond. I think Calzaghe knew he had done enough & went for a tear up in that round - otherwise it probably would have gone the way of the middle rounds.

I rate Kessler very highly, and don't think Bute could threaten him seriously. He'll be competitive, but won't ever win.

You don't think Chris Eubank in his prime wouldn't have beaten mikkel kessler???? for me I think Benn, Eubank, Jones jr, Toney would have outclassed and beaten him in a much worse way than Calzaghe did

I have rounds 1-5 for Kessler. Rounds 6-11 for Calzaghe (although Kessler could get 10). Round 12 was evenish, but should probably go to Kessler.

The main reason why the fight is not seen as much closer than the Hopkins fight is because Kessler is Danish and Hopkins is American.

Kessler had a slight upper hand in round 12, but at the time I chose to score it even.

It was by no means a schooling bro. A fair and honest score would be around 115-113 or 116-113:deal

I think Kessler is a class act all the way.Even after the fight he himself admitted defeat like a perfect gentleman and said how Calzaghe completely took away his boxing.Kessler is a class act and a very good fighter who like Manny Steward said just doesnt have what it takes to beat Joe and after Joe moves out of 168 or retires he will be the dominant force of Super Middle.
