So the whole HBO-Crew (who pushed hardl for a Kessler-win before the fight because he is a young, handsome guy), all three judges and 90% of the media (all scoring i saw were 8-4 or 9-3 Calzaghe) were not fair and honest?
I like Mikkel Kessler, but his fans are trying to take a huge win away from Joe. He gave Kessler a boxing lesson, and scorecards should show that.

Another word: Mikkel takes care of his business. He can't do more. He dominated every guy he faced (icluding several top10 fighters). He does not have a spectacular win on his resume, but he only fought one fighter with this caliber. Even he lost, he wasn't embrassed like Pavlik. And look at Jermain Taylor. Man he struggled against Ouma and Spinks, who are by far not MW elitist.

The fight itself was a solid B+ but definetly not a 2007 fight of the year candidate.

Don't you feel for Kessler he deserves a rematch but has no chance of getting it.

I wish a rematch would happen...For Kessler and for the fact that it was the most exciting fight I've ever seen Joe in!! It was a great fight and certainly no schooling and certainly not a FOTY candidate........not with Marquez-Vazquez fighting twice

It was a close fight the first time.Calzaghe won,but not convincingly in my opinion.I don't think there is much between the two.Kessler would have a decent chance of beating Joe in a rematch.

Lets face it Smazz. It was the most exciting fight Joe has been in. Here are some more reasons:

Kessler is arguably the only prime fighter that Joe has beaten

As a Joe fan, this fight really highlighted Joes ability to adjust midfight and change up his gameplan

Again the level of excitement was incredible

Kessler I'm sure learned something about himself in suffering his first defeat and could make the rematch even MORE competitive

Calzaghe has had a few exciting fights Brewer,Eubank,Reid,Mitchell.I'd probably agree that the Kessler fight was Calzaghe's most exciting fight.

I wouldn't be averse to a rematch and believe that Kessler could very well beat Joe if they were to fight again, even at 175. I thouroughly enjoyed the fight, it was quite exciting and arguably JC's best win. But Kessler didn't make the figh close enough to warrant a rematch straight off the bat and he has taken too long to get his name back in the mix to entice Calzaghe back in the ring. Kessler would have to offer up some serious money to get the fight.

Kessler needs one or two eye-catching wins or he has no chance of getting the rematch from Joe I'll agree on that.

I agree, I think Kessler would have to beat a big name like Taylor or Dawson and then start talking

In terms of scoring I think you're right, but I believe that the rounds Calzaghe clearly won, were more one sided than the ones Kessler clearly won...if you know what I mean.
