Like it or not Hopkins age did play a part as he was gassing so much, and had to take fake breaks just to breath. Joe applied the relentless pressure to do that, but ultimately it was because of Hopkins old age.

By the look of the poll most people realised age would be a factor, and predicted the outcome right.

you dont know this though, it could be a calzaghe ko, you just dont know. i mean im no calzaghe nut hugger, but no1 can go back and say he would be at him by this, it just doesnt work. Hell whos to say B-pops isnt still in his prime, for what i saw against Kelly, he looked **** hot and still in his ****ing prime!!

You could have been forgiven for having this impression prior to the Hopkins-Pavlik fight.

But the the patent foolishness of these remarks is evident in light of BHop's performance against the prime 26 yr old Pavlik.

Where was the age there ?

Maybe it's time to consider there might have been something in the WAY CALZAGHE FOUGHT that took Bernard out.

Admittedly, BHOP is past prime and was past prime last April.

But so was Calzaghe, and different fighters age differently.

If age were the sole determinant, you could not have had Bernard's performance against Kelly.

    Yep.

Prime BHop was a KO artist.

And prime Joe was always gettin' KO'd.
