Bernard Hopkins has destroyed Pavlik's career.

  1. Unless Pavlik fights tomato cans for the remainder of his career, any fighter with a bit of technical ability will beat him. Hopkins created the recipe to defeat Pavlik

every time hopkins moved lateral pavlik lost him but would find a right hand or left hook landing flush all night. its like he closes his eyes to wait for them to stop and still be in front of him.

I don't think Pavlik's loss to Hopkin's is going to effect him a whole lot.. He just needs to stay down at 160 for a while.. Go ahead and fight Rubio to build his confidence back up.. I think his only threat down at 160 is Abraham.. I believe he needs to stay away from 168 right now..

Yes, because when an ATG is the first to beat you, that means everyone else from now on will.

Hopkins didn't show us anything we didn't know.

An elite will beat Pavlik. A borderline elite like Taylor will come close.

Pavlik is still a perfectly good fighter and will beat most good fighters in his weight range.

    It's too early to tell.

But come on, asides from Pavlik's advantage in age and stamina, he had nothing over Hopkins. Hopkins was stronger, faster, quicker and obviously much more skilled at the "sweet science". Pavlik had no advantage on the inside or outside. His only advantage was outworking Hopkins and hoping that Hopkins' age would show. It didn't.

But i do think Hopkins had to have taken something from Pavlik's heart. To get outclassed like that.

  12. Pavlik is still just a kid only 26, had an off night how in the **** is just 1 loss going to ruin his career:roll: what fighter besides Marciano has NEVER tasted defeat???
To much BULL**** is placed on records, and losing your 1st fight, **** everyone loses sooner or later:deal

    Exactly.

Hopkins didnt destroy Pavlik in any way shape or form. Only thing Hopkins destroyed was the glossy pic of Kelly some fans had in their heads.

That is gone - but it wasn't real from the beginning.

Pavlik is a good fighter who will go on to bea many good fighters - and occassionally a borderline great fighter. Styles will matter a lot to Kelly. He will loose again, but the ones of us that could be objective knew that all along. Really good fighter, but with flaws. He will come back and come bacstrong I have no doubt. But when he loses to a great fighter - only the worst fanboys will claim Hopkins broke him not understanding that only the pic they had in their heads was popped.

Pavlik's a young man with lots of experience behind the belt at this stage. He will learn and get better !!

Where was Hopkins at his age..... Give Pavlik a break !
