    I wouldn't say Hopkins created any recipe to beat him. Pavlik was always vulnerable to world class boxers. He just hadn't faced any until BHop. If anybody destroyed Pavlik's career, I would say its Jack Loew for convincing his fighter that he was invincible and that the hype was true. But Pavlik is still young and more than likely to bounce back against good, but not great, competition at 160.

    I think Pavlik can learn from this loss and come back better than before. Hopkins may have set the blue print for beating him, but not too many fighters below 170 will have the same success implementing such a plan, and with Pavlik's power, he will always have a chance to bail himself out late should he find himself once again on the short side of a lopsided fight.

    Pavlik is a smart fighter, but Hopkins totally neutralized his jab, and Pavlik was never able to find another way to close the space.

    He needs to learn from this fight, and establish a B plan to try and offset slick boxers who are able to neutralize his strengths.

    There is no shame in losing to Hopkins.

    Pavlik will be back.

    Well, Moorer did go on to win another title, and regardless, I think Pavlik has a brighter future than Moorer did and will go on to accomplish more post-Hopkins than Moorer did post-Foreman.

    the guy has talent, niw he knows his limitations and flaws and can work on them. A loss does not expose you, with the right mindset it makes you better.

    It is 1 loss thats it thats all!! He will be back @ 160 & all his followers will be back after a few ko's. Boxing "fans" are sad!! U fight & win ur a god u fight & lose ur all washed up. 1 thing those mma fans understand more than boxing fans do. No fighter is perfect.

    Yep -- Bhop created the recipe all right. All you have to do is make sure Pavlik gets injured in training camp, and comes down with a case of bronchitis severe enough to require intervenous antibiotics and intervenous fluids just 3 days before the fight. I guess Kelly is ****ed now that everyone knows how to beat him.

    Doesnt mean his career is over but perhaps the insane hyping can relax a little now.

    ..and who's to say KP can't find a few tricks and improve against guys like that. :good

    When are we going to learn that a loss it's not the end of your career in boxing? KP is a young skilled fighter that needs to develop until he reaches the best of his abilities. People who jump out of the bangwagon because he lost to B-Hop don't know **** about boxing.

    One of the dumbest statements I have read about Pavlik's loss.


    At age 26, Marvin Hagler had TWO losses to fighters of a much, much lesser caliber than Hopkins. It didn't keep Hagler from becoming one of the greatest middleweights in history. Those fighters that beat Hagler would most likely be starched by Pavlik. He has one loss now to an ATG. Pavlik had a poor night and Hopkins had one of the best nights of his career. It happens. Pavlik has all the chances in the world to learn from this, imrpove his skills and become a great middleweight. If the loss destroyed his career, it would be due to a mental deficit, an inability to learn from a setback, which seems unlikely with Pavlik.

    Oh, and are you implying that Taylor has no technical ability, not even a bit?
