    No...at least I hope not.

Mijares isnt the puncher Juanma is and frankly Vic isnt like Ponce De Leon.

    Mijares via Decision.

I see Darchinyan having a hard time in this one. Very hard time.

I got Mijares in a tough UD, possibly hitting the deck once on the way there. He has a tendency to get tagged against south paws and i think Vic will capitalise this.... 7-5 Mijares

    I think you're overestimating Darchinyan's technical skills.

Its kinda hard to say Mijares will get tagged by Vic's left often as that will be the end of the fight. Vic needs only to land that left and its over. But still i'm hoping for a Mijares UD maybe even KO:bbb

Which whilst far from coventional, still work for him.

Can't become undisputed without taking out Montiel.

I think Mijares will basically school Darchinyan. He might get sloppy and hit the canvas at some point, but Mijares just sees his opponent too well to get hit by Darch's hardest shots, all of which he projects from a mile away.

Not at all. You will see Mijares putting up a classic boxing display on his to wide UD against Vic.

you say it like its a bad thing :D
i think much of his success has come from him having very unconventional skill and style - that and power

Vic has power and if Mijares doesn't have durability I am of the belief he will get KTFO. However, I have seen Mijares fight a few times and he appears strong, albeit lacking KO power himself. He will definitely not lose a decision.

Mijares will box circles around Vic but there is a very small chance that Vic will land enough clean shot(s) to end the fight.

mijares via wide UD. this fight will in all likelihood be a schooling... why is this fight even happening anyway? darchinyan got KTFO vs. donaire. it should be donaire fighting mijares. now, that's a very tough fight to call, not this potential schooling.

I think Mijares will win in pretty dominant fashion. Despite being effective, Darchinyan leaves himself extremely open to counters and Mijares has surely picked this up. He telegraphs his punches something fierce (especially the left) and Cristian will be able to use his superior speed to get off first. Mijares also has great defence and positioning, something that will really trouble Vic due to his slow/wide punches. The only thing I Vic really has going for him in this fight is his southpaw stance and Mijares' tendancy to brawl at times (although he's cut down on it a bit lately). We saw against Navarro that Mijares can be hit a little more against southpaws, however Vic is nowhere near as technically sound as Navarro is. He may stronger in other areas, but his technical skils certainly arent one fo them.

I see Mijares taking a round or two to get his rythm but then taking over the fight with his defence, countering ability and jab. Mijares Wide UD 118-110.
