As a Filipino, living in the Philippines, I just wanna clear a few things up, about that ESPN segment. 1. Pac is not the biggest film star in the Philippines. Not even close. He's a **** actor. 2. He's not the biggest recording artist either. His singing voice sounds like 2 cats ****ing. I've never personally met anyone who has bought his CDs. His film and music career is mainly a vanity project. People let him do what he wants, it's his money. And it's harmless fun. 3. He's not the Beatles, Michael Jordan and Brad Pitt rolled into one. He's a very popular, very famous celebrity athlete, that's all. We dont treat him like a living god. That said, it was a nice piece and I got a bit emotional when they were talking about the times when they were dirt poor, and the times when he was starting out in boxing. The part where he tries to help out his hometown is also touching.
True, true. I thought Ely Buendia would suffer a coronary if he heard about number 2. And the biggest film star in the Philippines is dead, died out of heartache and grief because he should have been President.
