Im a massive haye fan But don't believe a word of it :-( Haye has a fight on 15 of november in a sold out arena and also there is his tv contract that he has to honour, also its his own promotion. It would be financial suicide to pull out of the barrett fight for him :deal
Blahblah...do you really believe that? Now, they blame the IBF ratings. Haye has always another excuse. If they really wanted to make the fight, it would have been made. Haye is not ready for Waldo now. That is the truth ,and nobody cares how his handlers want to sell another backout from Haye of a big fight. Haye is just not very well managed. He has discredited himself bigtime before his heavyweight campaign even started. The guys has talent and just wants to take his time ...
So far I've yet to see one source or quote suggesting that Klitschko wanted to fight Haye in Decemeber. I don't have a problem with that, as it would seem far more logical from his point of view to let Haye establish himself at HW first, but maybe you can provide one to back up your arguments?
No the source is not The Mirror, as I pointed out to you in the other thread where you claimed this. The Mirror story says exactly the same as the one in the OP of this thread and exactly the opposite of what you are claiming.
It's a misquote by yourself. It doesn't say he 'needed' more time, it says he wanted more time. Think about this logically. If you are Wladimir Klitschko, would you fight David Haye now when he is unproven at HW or leave it until he has established himself by beating a couple of contenders and the fight is bigger in both monetary and prestige? How would Klitschko gain by taking the fight now? It's all risk, little reward for him, compared to what it would be down the line.
I'd guess Kilts would want more time so Haye could actually get some heavyweight credentials before he fights him? More money, more interest, more credibility. The fight will be a LOT bigger down the road if both guys keep winning.
