Well Delahoya is bigger and a 154lber, but even if say he was a 140lber, I see him beating Chavez up, Chavez did nothing to make me consider he'd ever beat Delahoya in their fights. Delahoya is slower and less fleet footed but hes more tactically astute and better skilled today

No, he's not more skilled today. His skills are eroding as each month passes. He was closer to his prime 12 years ago when he first faced Chavez at Jr welterweight. Gaining experience as the years go on is normal, but he's on the downward curve. De La Hoya was more fluid 12 years ago, faster, better reflexes, and his jab was better.
Oscar is part of "The New breed" of 30+ fighter's... (Hopkins, Calzaghe ect..) who Took/Take care of their bodies by not abusing it with excess (Drug's/Booze) like most of the Old school fighter's and stars of the day. (including Chavez) (Who was reported to be seen Drunk in the casino's during training for Oscar I) which explains, his longevity...
