According to widespread rumors in the Russian press, Povetkin’s contract with the Sauerland Event expires on Jan. 1, 2009, and Russian fighter will be a promotional free agent after that. Given this, Povetkin and his advisors would have a chance to omit paying Sauerland Event its share of fees, had his battle with Klitschko been rescheduled till the next year. Vladimir Hrunov has explicitly denied these rumors and their sources.

Even if the injury had happened he still would've fought Klitschko. but this is a nice "coincidence"

weird, I heard they have sent MRI and scans from a doctor to prove that they are not faking it and that povetkin is really injured but I guess that could be arranged.

That's bull****, Povetkin and his team already answered back to those rumors and confirmed it's not true. His contract with Sauerland expires on 2012.

Povetkin is very average, and is probably looking to keep his 0.

Haye would have a field day picking holes in his defence.

Povetkin can take a punch, Haye most likely can not. Haye has porous defence and Povetkin throws a lot of punches in combination.

The way Mormek rattled Haye, makes me think that Povetkin can do a number on him. Povetkin has similar skill set to Mormek, more power and way better stamina.

Yeah and the chinese gymnasts had legal documents proving they were 16...In this day and age I hold firm to the saying "belive none of what you hear and half of what you see"
