Look at the end one more time. The bell did not ring when 3 min had passed, because the rule: "cant be saved by the bell" was used. The bell is ringing when the referee declares Bute ready to fight. This is according to well known boxing rules. So in situations like this, the referee never knows that the fight is over. He has to clear a fighter ready to fight, like in any knockdown. And if you watch the end, the ref did let Bute continue. But, we all know, Bute was not ready to fight. He was on the ropes, in no condition to fight. Andrade should be the winnner, there is no other way. If Bute was not ready to fight, the bell could not ring.

 

It would have taken Andrade a 2 hour flight on concorde to get to the other side of that ring !

Unfortunately for you, the fight was not on well known boxing rules, but on IBF rules, which say he only has to get up, he does not need to be ready to continue the fight, for a simple reason: there is no danger to continue, the fight is over. In fact, the WBO is the only association which have your "well known boxing rules". I've read all 4 rules, you didn't, obviously, and won't because you know you couldn't continue to spread that bull**** if you read them.:verysad

Why didn't he deem Foreman knocked out, given that he was not in a position to continue after he beat the count? Why did he let him go to his corner for the 1 minute break? Was Lyle robbed too?

 

First, there is a sound with 5 seconds to do. He may not have heard, the noise was incredible at that time. But he doesn't have to know since the bellkeeper is supposed to ring the bell as soon as Bute stands up.

In the WBO, only the ref can decide after that kind of ko to make ring the bell, as he has to verify the boxer is able to continue.

Pretty convincing. He did not. Bute was knocked down, he sttod up at 8. Fight over. As he dominated the rest of the bout, he won easily on the cards. Wake up.

Others still have doubts for certain reasons, despite the arguments put to them, to convince them. These are no longer arguing the case, but merely keeping their views and doubts to themselves. They should be respected.

They remain vociferous, having made their minds up and its pointless to argue with them because their case is not build on argument or reason. It's a waste of time putting arguments to them to try to convince them. They should be ignored.
