    1. Antonio Margarito should rematch Paul Williams, and he will when he feels the time is right.
    2. Perfectly. He is coming off the best win of his career, defied everybody (including yourself), so he can take time off.
    3. Paul Williams
    4. Margarito is a warrior, and scared of nobody. He's now in a position to fight whoever the hell he wants.
    5. I think Margarito is a live challenger against Floyd, because his size, power, and stamina is something Mayweather has never had to contend with before at 147. Likewise, Welterweight Floyd is an overrated commodity because he hasn't fought the quality of Williams and Cotto.
    6. Top 7, at least.
    7. I rate Margarito very highly. His combination punching is somewhat overlooked, and his stamina, will, and power are second to none. I give preference to fighters who will fight anybody, like Margarito, and quite simply, the world of Boxing would be a better place if there was more fighters like Antonio.

PBF p4p #1...AM is bigger and stronger than any ww but he is not better than PBF and would certainly be outboxed head 2 head

margarito is 10 at very best IMO not top ten...he is big strong and has a great chin but his skill is limited...cotto houtboxed him but didnt work the body and is not the type to be patient and outbox someone...PBF would own AM...williams will beat him again...take away AM's size and he is average

Yeah, Margo is not even top 10 imo, maybe top 15. I like the guy very much though.

Btw I don't agree with the "take away his..." line at all, if we took something away from fighters they would be other fighters. :good

    1. Most definitely.
    2. It was a hard fight against Cotto and he needs till next year to recover.
    3. Paul Williams.
    4. No. Cotto deserves a rematch.
    5. I think it's possible because of his size and intensity, but Mayweather would most likely outbox him.
    6. Lower top 10.
    7. Margarito is a very good and tough fighter and has my respect.

    1. I'm all for a fight against Williams or any other belt holder.
    2. Margo took a multitude of hard shots in the Cotto fight. he needs to take a good break before his next fight.
    3. I would like to see Margo fight Williams, Mosley, Clottey, just for kicks I think a fight against Sotto Karaas would make for a good fight because of their styles.
    4. It's cool, Cotto didn't have to give a dangerous fighter like Margo a shot. Just because of the heart Cotto demonstrated he deserves a chance to reclaim the throne.
    5. I don't think Margo would beat floyd. Floyd would run his ass off all night and land lil taps just enough to win rounds. A fustrated Margo won't be able to lure Mayweather into an fight.
    6. Around 7
    7. Margo is not the fastest, but his high punch out put makes up for that. His chin is one of the all times best. He is physically and mentally vesry strong. His conditioning is legendary. He dose have plenty of technical flaws, but overall I'd say his good makes up for where he lacks making him an good fighter, I won't say great. least not yet.

1.Do You Feel Margarito Should Fight PW? If Not, why do you feel that way? Yes, he should fight him.

2.Do You Feel Its Justifiable That Mararito up to this point has not fought anyone post cotto, and more specifically pw? Yes, it is justifiable. He has fought Williams, Clottey, Cintron x2, and Cotto in the last few years. The man deserves a little break. Although PW won the first fight, he could have done the honorable thing and given AM an immediate rematch, which he didn't. AM had defended that belt for a few years so he at least deserved that courtesy. PW lost the belt in his first defense and got extremely lucky that Quintana was man enough to give him another shot. PW and his team had a different plan after he got the "W" against AM. That is until AM beat up Cotto, who was considered the top dog at welter. Now PW and his team are clamoring for a rematch. I guess they forgot that what goes around comes around.

3.Who Would You Like To See AM Fight Next? Mosley (the man deserves a payday). Cotto would have to prove himself against Clottey, Williams, or Cintron.

4.Does it upset your or do you feel its appropriate That Margarito May Fight cotto twice in a row? Not really, but hopefully this time, Cotto's fans will give Margarito his due and won't say it was Margarito's stamina that won him the fight.

5.Do you think margarito would beat Floyd and if so why? Yes, but it won't be easy. By that, I mean that Void Gayfeather would be running around the ring like crazy. He would just keep moving and moving and moving and...well you get the picture. Void Gayfeather doesn't like pressure and AM would give him more than he could handle. Remember, his trainer, Roger Mayweather, twice lost to a great pressure fighter (JCC), and knows that AM could break down Gayfeather. If this weren't true, this fight would have happened a long time ago.

6.Where Do you Rank Margarito p4p? Now this is going to sound crazy. Although I think he is a very good fighter, I don't think AM is a great fighter. People use this term too loosely. He is at best and B+ to A- fighter. He just happens to have the style that gives a lot of fighters trouble. I would rate him number 14 out of the top 20 P4P'ers, but definitely not in the top ten.

7.How Do You Rate Margarito Overall as a fighter? I rate him as a very solid fighter who can beat the best on any given day, but is he HOF material? As of now, not yet or he may never even get there. Here's a short list of pros and cons on Margarito.

PROS: pleasing style, chin, stamina, power, heart, determination, always in shape, and is hard-working.

CONS: average foot and hand speed, sometimes seems to throw punches just because, sometimes does not seem to have a plan except knock the other guy's head off, sometimes throws lazy punces, and is a slow starter.

This is my honest assessment of Antonio Margarito.

While not a total Margo supportor I do love watching his fights so I'll pretend I'm a hardcore fan.
    1. He already fought him and lost. If he wants to rematch cool but if not, I already saw it.
    2. I think its justifiable but maybe not the smartest thing in the world. I think he's waiting on Hoya actually. I think they fight after Pac.
    3. Hoya, just for the excitment. But I'd love to see him with Williams or Berto who might be dangerous for Margo.
    4. It doesn't upset me but I feel Cotto's gonna get beat bad.
    5. I think Margo is a bad match up for Floyd largely cuz of his size, his rangy attack, and unrelenting pressure.
    6. Not in top ten.
    7. Very good at what he does but a boxer can beat him if he has good speed, decent power, and lateral movement. Someone might say Cotto couldn't do it but I am thinking someone more of Margo's size.

I would like to see him fight him again. And I do believe he will. Margarito has faced practically all the top guys in the WW division, and beaten most. And he can actually fight some big exposure fights after over a decade as an undercarder fighting other contenders. What the heck would any of you do if in this position in the spotlight after over 12 years as a pro. It's not like he's looking to fight chumps. Shane's not what he was, but that doesn't mean a 60% Shane isn't better then most 100% contenders. And I can't believe people woud complain about a rematch w/ Cotto. Which of the two provided more excitement, the fight against Williams or Cotto? It's not a difficult choice, and has nothing to do with the winner. Cotto vs. Margarito had action and drama. And the build up to it was comepletely natural. Die hards all had a boner for this regardless of the mainstream attention.

Are you kidding me? It's October. He fought at the end of July in a fight he toojk a lot of hard, clean punches. Before the he fought Cintron. Who depspite what many think, is still a very heavy hitter. A lot of boxers take a little rest between fights. If he's doing something no one else is, then we can talk. I mean, we all know Margarito takes some punishment in his wins. Dude can rest for once.

    Always Mayweather.

No. Why? It was a very good fight. I'm not one to give a **** about the 'exposed' talk on Cotto. He's still an exceptional fighter and can beat most other WW's.

Absolutely. I know a lot say 'styles make fights' and then say nothing else. But why those are wrong in the outcome, Margarito's style, along with his size, gets him the win. I've been over this time and time again. In short, Mayweather, while being faster and more skilled, doesn't have the activity or power to keep Margarito honest. Floyd can back peddle all night, but you won't win that way. People can exagerrate on Margarito's slow feet all they want. But that's what it is. An exagerration to make a point.

    Don't do P4P.

He's an excellent fighter. Top guy in his division and show what dedication and will power can get you when you lack the natural ability some have.

    And good questions BtW.

    1. Yes
    2. Sure, why not? When PW says "jump", should Margarito say "how high"? Considering the amount of fights against top ten fighters he's faced in the last few years, Margarito can do whatever the hell he wants. Unlike PW, he's actually trying to clean out the division, not trying to ride off the coattails of others accomplishments with narrow decisions.
    3. Floyd or DLH. I'm a sucker for the spectacle.
    4. A little. I'd rather see him fight PBF or DLH right now, but whatever.
    5. Yes. Too big, too strong, too relentless. Floyd can't hurt him and won't be able to slow him down. He'll run, but he won't be able to hide forever.
    6. Margarito is a great welterweight, but I don't think his skill set transcends weightclasses.
    7. B+/A-
