Wright was willing to take on Bernard Hopkins at 170. Let's see what Kessler "dares" do. Any sort of talk suggesting Kessler is ready to take on any challenge (even against a balker like Winky Wright) is still patently ridiculous. Mikkel has alot to show and prove as far that goes.
Kessler can't beat Winky in my opinion. He doesn't have the tools to get through Winky's defense, like Bernard did. In fact, outside of Hopkins, there's very few fighters who could decision Winky.
He would beat Wright easily. Wright is like a hot air balloon at 168. He has no footwork whatsoever, his feet are cemented to the canvas. He's slow as hell and lacking any kind of sharpness. Whilst a southpaw usually has the advantage, not here. Footwork is very important when establishing a jab, Kessler's is way more precise at this weight, and he's much stronger. Wright's jab won't do anything to bother Kessler in the slightest, whereas Kessler's is a thudding hard jab. I see Kessler establishing his jab with few problems, and has the fight wears on his physical strength comes into play, and he can open up more with little fear. The only question is whether he breaks through Wright's guard to knock him out.
san rafael, you are the most bias poster on this forum. kessler needs to prove what? That he will travel? Really. you don't actually read the articles just look at the pics right? Man, get out of the barrio once and a while and you might actually learn something.
Yes he has only fought three titlefights outside Denmark in 8 titlefights ... real stay at home fighter... Winky has been hit in the head once too often - his view on his own networth is somewhat twisted
yes,he did..and fought mundine in australia, haussler in germany...3 title fights in he´s opponents backyard.
