I was gonna post PM from first sight of this thread. That's my only reservation in reference to this upcoming bout with Ricky.
If this is among world class fighters, then Maxie Rosenbloom is up there. If we are talking journeyman level, then Zuri Lawrence.
I really wonder if Malignaggi would fight differently if he hadn't had any hand problems in his career.
Up until his first hand injury he knocked everyone out. He was droppin' cats in the amateurs all DAY!! I think he really changed his entire style up to err on the side of speed. He deviated entirely away from power. I think it is just so engrained in PM now that he doesn't want to let them go- just mental blocks won't let him throw hard. Just my opinion, I could be wrong... just seems to be the case. But watch the Kevin Watts fight if you can find it- the next fight he broke his hand. He knocked that dude OUT!!

What the hell?? :admin I've seen him fight a few times (even beat McCline if i remember correct), but i would've never guessed he NEVER stopped an opponent. Especially for a heavyweight, that's quite the accomplishment.
In terms of great fighters it has to be "Slapsie" Maxie Rosenbloom. An atg lhw of the late 20s/30s. Great fighter but not able to KO a fly.
