ATG- who do you rate higher- Barerra or Marquez

Barrera takes it for me.

His 2-1 against Erik Morales pulls him clear of Marquez.

 

clearly Barrera.even a way past his best Barrear almost beat Marquez and had him on the canvas.

 

so far barerra though marquez still has enough time to establish his greatness. who knows a year or two from now.

 

barrera, definitely. no question he has the better resume and has fought/won against much better opposition.

 

Barrera has a greater legacy right now. But JMM is not too far behind anymore and if he can conquer the Lightweight division and anything else will determine if he steps on Barrera's and Morales' toes as an ATG

Barrera is like 3 levels above Marquez.

Marquez and several others have some recognition and credibility on the back of beating old Barrera (and to some extent Morales), but prime Barrera would have wiped the floor with Marquez. Totally diferrent levels.

Barrera has the better resume, marquez is the better fighter, if he ever gets a rematch with pac and gets the win he would then be higher than barrera to my mind

 

at the moment i would go for barrera, but marquez has a couple of yesrs left in him and when he is done i expect him to be ranked above the baby faced assasin.
