It will be an ugly fight, but the last one for Toney. He is in for an ass-whooping.

    Rahmnan- Gift draw.
Evander- Toney did beat him up pretty good.
Ruiz- Close fight, won, but needed to cheat.
Rahman- Managed to look good for about a round, then fight ended on a butt.

You forgot how easily he handled Guinn though!

But, those guys are not really tall. They are about 6'2-6'3. Isn't Thompson closed to Klitschko sized?

I just think it's funny how many posters on here claimed that Toney would never take this fight/fight a tall opponent when the Blade first mentioned this fight about a month ago. Now it's signed...

Tony Thompson is underrated and presents a difficult challenge for Toney at this point. Toney has to bring his A game, he has to be in decent shape and put pressure on Thompson. I think he can still do it. That's all that matters for this fight, Toney better bring his A game so he can overcome Thompsons physical advantages and outbox him on the inside. Toney wins on points.

He didn't back out, he got injured in his preparations for McCline... looks like Toney haters on here are not ashamed to resort to lies in order to degrade the man.

BTW, to put it in your words: "I think your boy Haye knows that really fighting Toney is not a good idea".

You are just frustrated that Haye takes on a much easier opponent than Toney. And this is a 40 year old Toney.

Haye has a very long way to go before he can start comparing himself with HOF Toney.

As far as for you incompetent allegation that Toney backed out from the McCline fight, he tore his achilles while sparring. There were plenty of witnesses linlcuding Doug Fischer from Maxboxing.

    Stop your nonsense.

I don't know the details of the planned JT-McCline fight. I'll assume you're right and JT was injured. But this isn't as bad as the sh*t some posters gave Vitali when he sustained injuries while training for HR.

So what does he do? After years out of the ring - VK beats the guy (Peter) that beat the guy (Maskaev) that beat the guy (HR) twice that VK was supposedly ducking ! :rofl

There's much nonsense on this site worse than what what JL Hewitt posted.

Toney embaresses Thompson with counters all night... I think he will look better thank Klitschko did honestly.

I'm sure if Toney wins and Haye wins his next fight then Haye will definitely go for him.

Okay, my bad... If it was a legit injury.

I sitll think Toney at this stage would not do well against a really tall guy. Toney is not all that mobile, and if someone with big reach wants to they can stay away and beat him pretty easily. Sam Peter was able to jab Toney away, and Peter is slow and not very skilled.

As for Haye, I said it in another thread that I think the Toney That fought Jiirov would beat Haye, buit Today's Toney is shot and nothing more than a survivor. He can hang in there with good guys, but he does not have enough to win.

If anyone is full of lies and bull**** then it's Toney with his cheating steroid tactics, fighting this guy actually means nothing now and he's the one demanding far more money that he deserves based on trash talking and ONLY that, not much for any accomplishments in the division to make him worth the insane amounts he says he deserves.

After all the trash talks to Vitali when he was called out officially and seriously he went back to the buffet table.

That would be a great fight. I will have to wait how both look in December before I will make a final prediction.

Haye has youth and speed while Toney has expereince and slickness, could be interesting.

Toney is fighting Tony Thompsom in December. Thompson is a lower top ten contender, tall, rangy and a southpaw. Toney is 5.10 and a 40 year old former middleweight. IMO, he clearly deserves a lot of credit for taking on Thompson.

Well, maybe there is a possibility that Toney does not want to fight the Klitschko. At this point, he has absolutely zero shot at beating Waldo and only a small chance at beating Vital. Even if this is the case, look at his resume, he was not afraid to fight anybody. Even at heavyweight he fought big punchers like Peter and Rahman.

Props to James Toney. I know he actively avoids fighting Euros, but this is a crazy difficult fight for him and I am surprised he took it.

That said, I will be shocked if Toney wins.
