Ref instructions have nothing to do with it. Touching gloves and the reasons behind it have been around as long as boxing - if you cannot honour that spirit then you are nothing but a dog and have no business offerring to touch gloves ever.

By your account YOU have not watched the fight. Mijares offerred to touch gloves first then hit with the other hand. Watch then comment

Offtopic: Mijares punches has bad angles and doesn't make much power. If that was an elite boxer he could just walk into his punches. Overrated he is we can say. And what he did was a sucker punch, only a fool will defend it. I see a lot of boxer touch gloves and will hold out for even 1-2 seconds before starting to rumble at each other again.

I just watched it again and I was LMAO. :rofl What low down, underhanded, deplorable act of unsportsmanship. It reminded me of Ric Flair when he would extend his hand to his opponent at the start of the match and then thumb the guy in the eye.
