In honesty, a loss for my fighter just makes me even more of a fan. When a fighter steps in the ring, there's going to be 1 of three outcomes - win, loss, or draw. Regardless of which one it is, you still support your man. I thought that's what seperated the casual fan from the hardcore. ESB has a lot of casual fans.

Vic has better skills than what people think.

bottom line, people were too sold on the arce win, and lifted mijares too high.

vic is easily among Tszyu and fenech now

Weve had this thread before how ESBs are biased towards, slick boxers..ala Floyd, but problem is not all turns out to be PBF. Its like a race horse, they look marvelous in the paddock but in the race, they get beaten by a 100 to 1 underdog.

I always point out that the greatest fighters ever arent always the slick, great jab great defense fighters.

That is what I have been saying for so long. Mijares is slick but he does not have pop. When he faced an opponent who does not respect his power, then it is a big hill to climb.

Now where are the "Supernatural" and "God"? First Joan Guzman, then Mijares.

many people, including me have been guilty of putting a premium on a fighters skill set. this fight proves once again, that like margarito-cotto, forrest - mayorga etc.... having a better skillset does not nescesarilly make you the better fighter.

Look I never once said that Mijares was overrated, I dont do that ****. But you my friend have fallen to the other extreme.

If this fight was 6-3 rounds for Vic and Mijares making a big comeback in the later rounds before getting Koed, Id be more willing to accomodate your reasoning. But this was a boxing lesson with a thump. He dominated him.

What we are doing now is not giving Vic his props that he is a better fighter through and through, I mean he proved it in the ring. This was not a competitive match.

The problem is that Donaire as done **** compraed now to Darchichian nobody will care about Donaire if he not fight too much look at Darchichian was destroyed but now has two great wins on his resume wile Donaire have done nothing. Even with the lose Darchichian is even rated highter p4p, and Donaire is still fighting on undercards of Chavez jr looking bad in the process.

well you can rate Darchinyan higher if you want but think of it this way. If Darchinyan goes inactive for the next 12 months, and during that time Mijares comes back and draws against Gorres and knocks out a lower top10 guy and Montiel, i doubt you will put Mijares ahead of Darchinyan.

The same thing going for Donaire and Darchinyan.
