    And yet:

Valuev- apparently signed next fight/promotors won't let it happen
    Haye- already signed to Barret
    Chagaev- injured
    Gomez- Vitali's mandatory
    Dimentrenko- signed to figth Krasiniqi
    Golata- signed to fight Austin
    Ruiz- oh god no!

Its hard to think of one.

its amazing the amount of huge fights Rahman has managed to get, and surely doesnt deserve.

This could be a risk for Wladimir. If Rahman lands a hail mary its good night. He needs to box soundly and aggresively behind the jab.

Haye could have fought Waldo but backed out. Valuev could have fought him but prefers to fight Holyfield. Probably, Toney prefers to fight Thompson.

I think we are more or less in agreement here. The point is that those fights are not there to be made.

In a sense you are right- he should be the alternate.

But lets be honest here: Chambers is a smallish, defensive fighter, the kind that Wladdy can just tee off on. He would have no chance.

As shopworn and slow as Rahmen is, he would have a puncher's chance. Plus, he is the bigger name.

Lets not forget that this is now NOT a mandatory. He doesn't have to fight the second best guy, just someone interesting.

Sultan was a unification and Thompson was a mandatory. These are not bum fights. Now yes, I admit that the fights themsleves left much to be desired, but he fought them and he won.

Jeez Rahman is very **** but at short notice the fight is better than scrapping the show.

    Another Ray Austin-type fight.

I'm growing tired of seeing Rahman in the ring with champions these days.

hmmm could this have the makings of a hopkins-pavlik where rahman gets totally outclassed
    or a brutal KO
I havent watched rahman fight in 3-4 years so I dont know exactly how shot he is but I do remember he has a hell of a right hand
