FIRE IN THE VALLEY!! Thornberry promotion in gatton

Fantastic night out in Gatton. The crowd was awesome and we were looked after very well. Noel put together a good night of entertainment for the locals, Hopefully they appreciate it and show support for the next one.
Main event was a scorcher, Jeezuz Fitzy is a tough dude, we were very happy to come through unscathed and injury free for the next fight in 2 weeks.
Phil, sorry we didn't get a chance to catch up after the fight, I owe you a coke mate so hopefully we get a chance to hang out a bit on the coast promo.
BTW, Steve Marshall did a great job reffing that bout!

 

Hey Bri, for sure I thought he handled it very well considering what he had on his hands from time to time, the fight really saved the show and I'll take you up on the coke anytime. BTW "Yellow Devils?" Now THAT **** is funny!

 

Team Piper. Just wondering what was the thinking with taking a fight 2 weeks before a shot at the Aussie title? Did you think Les needed the work, to shake of cobwebs? Interesting move, and not something you see every day. Good luck.

 

Hi Ippy, Mate the truth is that we were offered the Gatton fight before the Aussie title shot. I wanted to pull out of the fight but we did the right thing by Noel. Come see me at the fights mate and I will give you the whole story, Bottom line is we took a chance, trained super hard, and it paid off.
50 years ago mate they would have had 4 fights in 2 weeks. It is just uncommon these days is all. haha

Hey Bryan, yeah they'd probably have fought twice on the same night! No dramas at all. Good too see you get the W in Gatton. Fitzy is a tough *******. So is Izzy. Good luck!

 

Mate, We take our hats off to Fitzy....He was super tough and I do not know how he stood up to those shots for 8 rounds. Full credit to him and Noel for a great fight.
Izzy is a tough customer for sure, We are looking forward to a good, hard fight!
