Chavez-Taylor I & 2 were both at 140 lbs & the results were Chavez by TKO12 & Chavez by TKO8, I wish someone would hand me my ass like that.

Chavez-Whitaker was a draw which I scored for Whitaker but again, nobody got their ass handed to them, there have been far worse decisions than this one.

Anyway.... as long as this fight is made no later than 1992 then Chavez beats Trinidad on pts, Tito`s punches wouldnt be enough to stop Chavez & JCC would just press him all night & brutalize his body much like he did to fellow countryman Camacho.

    :thumbsup

Chavez also never fought a monster punching welterweight. He was a smaller guy, but he did get rocked in the 8th round of a welterweight fight, against Pernell Whitaker by a left hand.

Even the iron chins can get dented, especially when they're facing a bigger guy.

I'm saying you take prime chavez who weighs in at 140, and you take prime Tito weighing in at 147, and i still think Chavez has the skills and toughness to go the distance.

and even win a few rounds

Pound for pound Chavez will always rank higher than Trinidad but in matchup at 147, Tito beats him by TKO, this is simply a case of one fighter being too big/strong for another fighter.

I don't know that he could KO Chavez but I certainly think at 147 he'd win on points.

Stupid assesment on your part, I don't see how anyone can think Chavez wins this fight, IMO I don't think it would be all that competitive.

In his prime, which I believe was against Rosario, Chavez was a natural lightweight, who chose to move up and fight at 140. He was too small to be great at 147 and would be overpowered by Trinidad who at 5-11 and coming into the ring at 155 to 160 was a big welter weight.

Wrong weight class to see the best of JLC. Tito would have a considerable size advantage.

Chavez was no welterweight and removed from his prime when he tried 147lbs. Trinidad is just too big and too strong for the smaller Chavez. Trinidad UD

140 is a better scenario for these two.
