Well i want to put on my own card in the next few years. While i do go to a lot of bouts etc etc. I don't manage fighters and i haven't done this before.

Whats the best way of going about this? Booking out a venue. And then making some offers to fighters trainers? E.G 5 K for your fighter to fight?

Im wondering how much money i will need to put on a decent domestic bout. (Possibly one that even makes fox sports)?

    Serious answers thanks everyone.

Ill fight teke for free, but im sure he would need to be paid big bucks to step into a ring with me.

    Ill fight T.C.W

Ill fight Huricn, but he will need to lose some lbs.

Ill fight Rise Above, again, he will need to lose some pounds.

And i say a decent main event would be......

    Oztriker vs Kegsy........the big boys.

How could anyone really take you seriously considering the pile of crap you've been speaking the last couple of days.

    hi mate,
imo u would need between 30 and 40K top put on a good show.
    things u need will include

    payments for fighter.
    airfairs
    accomodation
    ring hire
    officials
    ring card girls
    venue
    announcer
    sanction fees
    doctor

plus other things i cant think of atm.
u will find some fighters sell tickets and some dont.

Getting it on Fox is a little harder than you may imagine: They have limited numbers of shows available and these are generally disbursed to established promoters. The number one rule to remember is: To make a small fortune in boxing promotions, start off with a large fortune. I have seen another person in another forum decide to give it a go and that ended in utter disaster

Without name recognition (e.g. Jeff Fenech), without a stable of fighters to fight on the card including some name fighters , you will find it hard to put together a successful event.

There isnt much money in combat sports in Australia
