Evander Holyfield has not retired yet..! He has pound for pound the biggest heart in boxing.

Pacman-Will basically fight anyone. People say he's ducking JMM, but fighting someone twice doesn't count as ducking, regardless of your opinion on the result. Whether you see DLH/mooted Hatton fights as money makers or not, you can tell Pacman wants to win. That shows heart, these are World class guys.

Vasquez-I don't have to say anything. I just pray my gut feeling is wrong and JuanMa isn't the George Foreman of the SBW's. Would hate to see Izzy taking a beating even he can't fight back from.

Margarito-Mainly based on the Cotto fight, he fought a destructive, World class puncher, walked through everything he had, couldn't hit him, got hit more, slowed him down and eventually punished him. His massive heart broke mine and I respect him for that. And he also went 12 rounds with someone who has now knocked out a MW. Regardless of who that MW was, WIlliams punching power is clearly getting better (technique rather than power I should say) and Margarito walked through im as he did everything else.

And Cintron....twice. Even though he battered Cintron twice he still had to come through some vicious right hands. He is not a freak of nature, Margo does feel those punches....but it's his heart and pride that makes him move on, unflinching, much like Salvador Sanchez used to do when hit by the likes of Nelson/Gomez/Lopez.

Um...in what fight did he lack heart?
He might not have the biggest heart but he got up from every knockdown, hung in there after being on his knee vs Peter to win the fight etc...Wlad lacks chin but definately not heart.
This thread is not the right place to diss Wlad!

...............Why do threads like this even exist?

How does one measure this? By counting the number of times he climbed off the canvas? Overcoming eyebrow cuts? What criteria do you use? Is a broken nose worth more on the "heart scale" than a broken jaw? Come on..........

that's true. to be a good fighter you need to have heart to begin with. i guess what for the most part in general you'd have to pick out their best performance in which the fighter was tested to his/her limits and performing well win or lose, like vitali vs. lewis. one that comes to mind when u mentioned the broken jaw instantly i thought arthur abraham. must of been a ***** fighting like that esp with a big puncher like miranda trying to rip that mandible off. but i see what u mean
