    Lopez was originally scheduled to fight Sergio Manuel Medina who had lost a twelve round decision to current WBO No.1 ranked Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista on May 5 last year but it seems that Medina may have to step aside to make way for Concepcion if the deal is finalized.

    The astute promoter said he believes it will be “a tough, tough fight for Concepcion but they seem to want the fight. They seem to figure that they can win. You can’t argue with anybody. They want the fight. We didn’t even offer it to them. They went after it.”

    I'd go with Lopez but Concepcion I like more as a boxer.

    I don't feel as if Concepcion is ready after seeing his last bout with Giovanni Caro.. Maybe a few more fights, but if they want to do it in December, then what the hell.. Fight on.. I think Lopez will get the KO, but I'll be rooting for Abe.. I hope he reconsiders this fight for maybe late next year or so instead at the end of this year..

    I hope this fight comes to fruition to really justify the the Pac/ODH under card for me. As a Concepcion fan I think it's a little too soon for a fight against Juanma but as a boxing fan I love it. Concepcion is a patient boxer with a big right hand so I wouldn't discount him completely against Juanma; however, Juanma is probably going to be too much for him.

    Whats up with these young filipino prospects being fed to slaughter?? Banal, Bautista...now, Concepcion. I think the PI is in such a rush to find the next Pacman, so much so, that they're curbing the development of these prospects.

    damn, I like both fighters but I don't think Concepcion is ready yet. They are moving him way to fast.

    Oh well. Should be a great fight. I'll be cheering for Concepcion
