    a couple from me:

john h stracy v jose napoles - the brit came off the canvas to tko the great cuban in round 6,a massive underdog at the time the fight took place in mexico where the cuban was rightly revered, stracy became the wbc welterweight champion of the world,a great fight and a very much overlooked fighter.

barry mcguigan v eusebio pedroza - mcguigan beat the great panamanian by a unanimous 15 round decision(though he floored him in round 7) to become the wba featherweight champion of the world, again a great fight but for many reasons too.

    honeyghan v curry etc

    now you?

Not so recent, but Terry Downes deserves a shout-out for beating the shell of the great Sugar Ray Robinson in 1965. Earlier Randy Turpin beat a more prime version of the best boxer ever.

Benn over McClellan; a great fight, but a tragic event.

There are a few, but none specific spring to mind.

The one that springs to mind was Lewis - Ruddock.

At the time Razor was seen as an avoided fighter, and it was Lewis first major test.Lewis just simply blitzed him.

If that was Bruno that did that, we would never heard the last of it from the media.

    Hatton - corales

great win but well overlooked and put down to corales being shot

the americans don't like to give hatton his due respect but maybe when he sits down and shuts up the big girl mallinagi maybe they'll have too??

Watched the Stracey v Napoles fight last night on KO tv, showed great courage Stracey after being put down, after that he was just relentless,he wouldn't allow Napoles a breather, great performance.

    Castillo?

He was shot, but not as shot as he was being made out to be. Certainly no worse than Morales was in the third Pacquiao fight.

I think a lot of people, myself included, don't give Hatton any credit for beating Corales...;)

EDIT: Beeston beat me too it!!

That's not to say Hatton wouldn't have beaten any version of either - I expect he would.

stracy was down in the first and came back very well to win...he took a bit of punishment on his way to that win..
