well i wouldnt put a dime on Jones winning. Unless the rumors of Calzaghe struggling to make weight are true.
Can you explain all this to me in dummy terms. If I bet $100 on Roy to last the distance, what do I get. If I bet $100 on Roy to win, what do I get?

I'm no betting guru, that's for sure. But my understanding is that if you put down $100 for Jones to win by points and the odds are 4-1, then you would get back $400 (minus bookie fees, ...) if that is the outcome. Someone else could go over this a lot better than I could, though. The most confusing bets, to me, are the +150, -300 type stuff. I think I understand them now, but I'm not totally sure. . However, I would not be shocked if Roy won by KO/TKO after catching Joe with a very fast counter punch and following it up, or by knocking Joe down a few times with this method and thus eeking out a close points win. calsaghe will outbox and outspeed jones imo jones is pretty fast but calsaghe looks kinda pretty lean im sure he was working a lot on his speed
If you bet on the fight to go the distance, you get about $40 for betting $100. If you bet on Roy to win the fight in any way, you get about $200 for betting $100. If you bet on Roy to win via KO, you get $750 for betting $100. That's where i put down some money. :good
If the odds are 4/1, you get 4 for every 1 you put on. So $20 wins $80, plus you get your stake back. Or $100 wins $400. Sometimes it's the other way around, like 1/4. If it's like that, for every 4 you put on, you get one back if you win. So a $40 stake wins $10, plus the money you put on. If it's evens, or sometimes 1/1, you get whatever you put on. $50 wins $50.
