Warren avoided the fight with Kessler for 3 years, saying that Kessler was not on the map - perhaps legitimately so. Joe never called out Kessler, but I didn't say he wasn't willing to fight the dane - he just never called him out.

Froch has never called out Kessler either.

I think he means Rubin Williams which is even more laughable.

Only after a long while. Caballero been champ for 2 years and from that time no meaningful fight whatsoever. Props to Molitor tho for taking the unification.

I highly doubt if Izzy and JuanMa will readily accept a Caballero fight.

Pardon my play on your words but Kessler actually saved Miranda by not fighting him. Kessler would have taken him apart.

Froch HAS called out Kessler a couple of times and says he wants to fight him. Can't find a sourcve but it was something along the lines of 'i want to fight the best SMW's INCLUDING Kessler'. Sorry for being so vague.

Yeah, I agree, but Miranda at least tried to fight him.

Would, could, should. Maybe Miranda lands a big punch on Kessler and take him out. This is why we fight the fights. Kessler didn't look to good against that bum he fought and he doesn't have the same style or power that Abraham has.

He has said this in recent times. He had 3 years to do it, and right now he is going down another path to get a belt. Before he was going nowhere, when Kessler picked belt after belt, and beat top SMWs after top SMWs.

I don't really take that quote serious. Is just like saying "I don't fear anyone" - yet he still hasn't faced any top rank SMWs. It is not really a legitimate or specific callout.

    1) Sartison was no bum.
    2) Kessler was a bit rusty in that fight, but still dominated - like always.
    3) Kessler has never been down.
    4) Yes, he doesn't have the same style or power that AA has, but he has so many other things that AA could only dream of; anticipation, great combos, workrate, good movement, sense of timing and distance.

But it doesn't really take a rocket scientist to know that Kessler would outbox Miranda - no need to KO him, even if that is pretty plausible.

Why do you think a peak-a-boo fighter is/can be feared??:huh

Imo Margarito and Darchinyan are two boxers that seem much more feared. I mean Clottey and Penalosa?? :huh

    Peace

Styles make fights and Kessler has never fought a big puncher before. No telling how he would react to a Miranda punch. And the way you make it ound AA is a complete bum. AA is a counter puncher so I think his anticipation, sense of timing and distance is pretty good and probably better the Kessler who is not a counter puncher and has a very hard time adjusting mid way though a fight.

Wether Sartison was a bum or not is still very much in question seeing as Kessler is the only half decent fighter he's fought.

And Kessler being rusty could be a problem esp if Miranda lands early.

Good call. The headlines on German media before the Haussler asked whether Haussler was tired of living.

After being spanked and KTFO in 3, they were relieved that he wasn't seriously damaged.

And yes, Kessler is just such a dangerous dude. Braehmer said in an intervie that he went to LHW mainly because he thinks Kessler is at another level.

Mundine threw his WBA SMW belt away in order to avoid Kessler. He would rather try to loose 8 pounds in order to make MW.

They just scurry around Kessler and the only ones who hasn't either coneit defeat before the fight starts (Beyer) or stipulate that the figh take place far far away from Kessler's hometurf and want all the advantages.

I would like to see someone of similar standing (Taylor, Bute, Taylor-Lacy winner, Hopkins, RJJ, JC, AA) have the guts to call Kessler out.:bbb

Would like to see Kessler fight ANYONE worth their salt. He's an entertaining guy with fast hands, a decent dig and is tough too.

If he carries his power/speed up to LHW he should chase Chad Dawson, or fight relatively inexperienced Tavoris Cloud, who is dangerous; that would show Dawson Kessler isn't scared and maybe Dawson would see him as a viable fight.
