Soliman and espeically Green are good opponents. However, it is geting difficult to defend him when he has so many crap opponents in between.

Oh yeah, I forget that he already got Knocked around once before. :patsch

He is 33 already is he not? He better get some fights in if he wants to win at title or make noise at 160. He could have some success in the division.

Mundine has fought so bad opposition lately. He doesn't remember what's fighting a good opponent. Looking good in sparring means nothing.

Choc wanted the fight with Kessler straight after the Green win. Kessler didn't want the fight then. Although he did later, Mundine simply gave him a dose of his own medicine. Either way, i know their are people dissapointed with his opponents over the past 24 months.

People like Ozstriker will find ways to bag him, sure their are many. You can't deny the facts. And that is he has 2 fights scheduled for 2009 in US. On top of that hes looking very good in the gym.

    Hungry and motivated for success.

    Have a good day everyone

Soliman is a decent opponent, but after their 2nd fight there wasnt any need for a third.

Green was again a good opponent, Mundine did well in that fight.

But its the fights in between and since then that make Mundine a joke.

Plus he didnt want any of Kessler again thats why he gave up his belt, and moved down to Middleweight.

If he really wanted to give Kessler a "dose of his own medicine" then he would have took the fight and slapped Kessler around like Kessler did to him the first time they fought.:deal But Mundine is a ***** and would never get back in the ring with Kessler

Sven Ottke KO #5 Anthony Mundine

As a fight fan, i think you need to show some more respect to these fighters. Not to mention bicep tears and eye injuries which have stalled Mundine over the past 24 months.

Kessler didn't make sense from a business perspective. He was coming off a loss to Calzaghe. If Mundine had beat him which was a very real chance, he would have been damaged goods from Calzaghe. And Mundine also could have lost. But its best to risk a loss against a big name US fighter against Pavlik, Taylor, who Mundine has more chance of beating. Then against a European fighter. (Logic used).

The Sven Ottke comparisons are very old now mate. A good 8 years ago. Interesting to note, no proper sparring done until Mundines 12th Pro fight. 11th was Ottke.

    Have a good day.

Having his title would have meant more money per fight IF he thought he could win. Which I don't think he did. Kessler was 'damaged goods' but fighting Soliman 3 times was OK.

Im a Mundine fan and most peolpe underrate him, but he knew himself Kessler would beat him again in the rematch. It was blatant avoidance, i don't criticise him for it because Kessler is just a better fighter and Mundine had the balls to face him before he had the huge recognition, but he definitely did NOT want to fight Kessler.

BTT is not real bright so he gets confused between Mundine saying that Kessler was ducking him.... and reality....:patsch

Mundine has been lying to the Australian Public so long that I find it unbelievable that anyone can believe the dribble that comes from his mouth...

I think it was clear he was offered a shot at Sturm for vacating for Kessler. I said so at the time and I believe it now.
