"THE" and "Heavyweight Title" are no longer words that go together

    Gomez: succeeded in TWO eliminators
    Povetkin: won an elimination tourney

Chambers and Thompson: deserve another elimination fight

Gomez is the most deserving i think

Povetkin is lined up to fight Wlad soon

Chambers only loss was to the best heavyweight prospect in Povetkin and he should certainly be in the mix for an elimination bout

Juan Carlos Gomez, yes. His dedication and willpower can be questioned but he's a good boxer and he's worthy of a shot.

Sam Peter. Embarrassed by Vitali but still, as a very recent title holder, deserves to be in the pot whenever contenders are discussed.

Alexander Povetkin, could be too early for him but perhaps worth rolling the dice. He's been able to handle some pretty tricky boxers so far and that has to be worth something.

Worthy of eliminators - Chris Arreola, James Toney, David Haye (IF he beats Barrett), Eddie Chambers, Oleg Maskaev, Hasim Rahman.

Rigth now, only Gomez and Povetkin deserve shots.

Chambers, Kingpin, and Arreola if each wins another decent fight.

    Dimentrenko if he beats Krasiniqi.

Haye needs to build up a body of work.

Gomez, bar none, but he's getting his shot. One more decent win should put Dimitrenko to get a shot as well.
