You know what, **** Calzaghe but I must say this. I take my hat off to the man for fighting a full 12 rounds regardless of the circumstances whether he's in a close competitive fight or he's way ahead on points. Very few fighters, if any, do that especially at Joe C's stage in the game. It's absolutely commendable and ought to be recognized and exalted. His constant showboating last night and many other times absolutely incenses me. The only thing that upset me more than that last night was how much of a timid ***** Roy was. That and they sponsored a dance-a-thon somewhere around round 3 or 4 . . . oh, and **** Roy's corner. They suck at everything.
It's not that I hate Calzaghe, I just don't like how he's fighting fighters who are way past it and how he claims to be the greatest..
I am an American Joe C. has earned my respect. Why? Simply because he has dominated nearly everyone he has fought. Take a look at some of his older fights footage (when he had power) and now with a limited power he has changed his game up a bit and still nearly from round 1 to round 12 he is in control of a fight.
Why the only options being love or hate. How bout just think he's a good fighter. I don't have to LOVE or HATE every fighter. There's no reason you have to have 2 extremes as the only option.
Yeah, that **** is pretty ****in' annoying. But he laid the blueprint for greatness. Ricky Hatton wasn't quick enough to catch on. You just gotta feed a UK champ a steady diet of Euro-bums so he builds up a tremendous record (not to mention confidence) and stays protected and then tell him to face a coupla legitimately great fighters that are obviously past their prime that he shoulda fought years ago. 40-something year old guys. All-time greats with shaky confidence that don't believe in themselves anymore who have previously gotten absolutely massacred by lesser fighters. Also feed him one highly touted yet limited prospect who's backed by an American premium cable promotional juggernaut searching for a guy to turn into the next "Chico" Corrales in the absence of a noteworthy heavyweight prospect . . . or should I say division. Make sure you export him to that UK champs doorstep, see him soundly whooped, and then watch the indelible smug grin of that cocksure limy ******* splashed everywhere from the pages of magazines, websites and your bigscreen screaming, "I told you so!"
You protest too much, mike! Calzaghe isn't seriously saying he's the best and most of his fans aren't either. He is one of the best and that we can all agree with.
Because he beat a Jones in who currently fights like a girl? Please explain. Probably every single one of his other wins were better than this.
