Stamina? He doesn't have good stamina. He has stamina if he's fighting a 39 yr old man that ain't throwing a thing. When he was put under a real examination by Johnson he faded noticeably. His stamina is average, against Calzaghe who has real stamina against any opponent it would look less than average.
No bro, you better watch some more Dawson fights. Dawson has good stamina, and Im not talking about fighting old men, Im talking about in general. He has good stamina and skills.
Watch Dawson some more he has a nasty habit of taking time outs that will be the downfall of him. Especially watch the Johnson fight, not a mark on Glen so much for the power...
I said earlier today in another post that Dawson is not ready to step into the ring with Joe C, now however I want it to happen. Much has been said on this forum about Dawson being a fair contest for Joe C I relish the idea of his humiliation when Joe C skools him. So I hope it happens.
Lol. Shut up noob. Paul Williams, Berto, Pavlik, Bardley, Diaz. Who the **** do you got, a underweight heavyweight, a slapper whos going to retire after beating old men and a fatass.
This content is protected Just too good and too high a workrate for the still-blossoming Dawson. Calzaghe doesn't just beat you, he envelops you. If Dawson had trouble with pressure against a 39 year old Johnson, Joe would be way too much for "time to take a break" Chad.
When Dawson is put under pressure, he folds a bit. If the Johnson fight wasn't an indication of what a faster, deceptive, and wily Calzaghe could do to Dawson if they ever fought, you are lying to yourself. And Dawson's biggest win was over somebody who was comprehensively schooled by Hopkins.
Haha is that the same Pavlik who got smacked around the ring for 12 rounds against Hopkins? Although not a great fan, the "underweight heavyweight" David Haye was also undisputed cruiserweight champion, picking up all the belts and is a proven great fighter (at cruiser at least). Joe Calzaghe 46-0, undisputed SMW champion, LHW ring champion....... now what did Bradley, Paul Williams, Berto and Diaz do? I quite like Berto and think he could do well in the future, but lauding the names you listed above Haye and Calzaghe is a little strange! Why does nationality have to be brought up though? By Americans AND Brits. If a fighter displays something good I like them, doesn't matter where they're from - i'm a fan of boxing foremost.
Actually you need to watch Dawson fights. He has good stamina and can match the pace. You must be a Brit.
I agree. Calzaghe is of course better p4p, but Dawson is just too big. He is 6'3" and has far longer reach than Joe. Afterall, Joe is no real LHW.
I think Dawson has a good chance of winning. BUT only if he ca keep Joe at bay at honest, because if they both just let it go - no, then he cannot match the pace. Sorry, bu no he cannot. Actually I am not for one second in doubt that Joe has th best stamina p4p over at least the past 20 years. I am critical of Joe and not really a fan, and I think his punching is not correct. His slapping is sore on the eyes etc. However, his stamina is completely out of this world. Dawson frankly cannot hold a candle to Joe in terms of output. Having said that - Pavlik also has higher output that Hopkins, but Hopkins controlled the pace. So if Dawson is able to do that - he might very well win.
I guess we can disagree about the output thing. Honestly Joe has better output and I agree but my whole thing is he is getting up there in age and I wonder how long he can sustain that output. I agree also that if Dawson controls the pace and keep Joe at the end of his golden jab he can win a decision.
