In a private conversation after the fight, Mogens Palle (Kessler's manager) talked with Enzo in regards to a rematch.

Enzo was very frank and clear when he said that Joe does not want rematches. They never have and they never will.

So now we know that Calzaghe-Kessler II and Calzaghe-Hopkins II will not happen.

He rematched Mario Veit but I think that was a mandatory. He has done it before I know that.

He rematched Viet, and he had a rematch clause written into his fight with Winchester Jones.

True. However, he did not do it because he wanted to but because he had to. One if the few times the WBO has actually demanded something.

Calzaghe is going to stay retired I think. For him he has nothing left to prove.

Yes, but will Jones take him up on it after that clinic? Likely not. Calzaghe said as much before the fight.

"Yeah there's a rematch clause in the contract, but I'll beat him so badly at Madison Square Gardens that he won't want to fight me again."

He was right. And HBO wont pay to see a rematch with neither Hopkins or Joe. Roy is a little too much past the last due date.

Looks like it's either Dawson or retirement.

Yes. Or Froch and AA, but now that Joe is a LHW that seems less likely. Woods may be another option because of the national aspect.
