The problem is that it would be completely up to Joe what happened. Agaisnt Bika for instance, Joe resorted to mano-a-mano machismo for much of the fight. However, for the rounds where he boxed, he completely outboxed Bika. Joe loves a good battle and if he can afford it (or if he loses his cool - which he did at times earlier in his carreer) he will do it. Against Johnson he may not underestimate him as much as he clearly did Bika and if he boxes then Johnson is done for. I would rather see him against someone that can at least have a say in the fight and not has to rely entirely on Joe's wishes. I don't want t osound totally dismissive, because you never know. And Johnson is a tough cookie fo sure. I am jsut not convinced that toughness will get Johnson far against Joe. Against polished and more elusive fighter like Roy and Ottke I can see it working. Because they didn;t particularly like getting hit an dwould never take two to hit three. Joe actually will. He is not made out of the same mold as them - less elegant than a RJJ but also far less bothered by being hit.
you mean the same glen johnson who lost to clinton woods, yeh i am sure he stands a chance with calzaghe.not.
