golota would have beaten austin no doubt if his body did not fail him, austin was battering him and golota was shrugging them off, i'd be worried about andrew if he was gettin concussed but he's not, his ability to take a shot is still there, but you can't fight a fight with one arm, golota has nothing to be ashamed of, andrew you are the man and dont let anyone else tell you otherwise, he will be back, Andrew Golota - heavyweight champion in 2009!!!! hail Golota!!!

Ive read an interview with Andrew on Boxingnews.pl. When asked about his career, he said:
"in a few weeks Ill tak off the dressing and start rehablilitation. Its also the time to go skiing. Boxing? Will see. For sure I wont sit at home."

When you say this, do you mean he is having a farewell fight? Or does he still think he can make a run for the title?

I'd support him regardless, but I really don't want to see him in the ring anymore. If ANYTHING, I hope he fights a tomato can in a city of his choosing and hangs them up.

    He's got NOTHING LEFT joecool!

Does he just want to have an easy fight so that he can go out on a win? Or does he want to try for another title shot?

If he does he has to stay busy the same way that Foreman did on his comeback.

Man, Golota is startin' to sound an aweful lot like Holyfield. The guy just can't seem to let it go. Very strange, for a guy who originally wanted to drop his boxing career and become a truck driver. He just simply wont walk away until he has a title Joecool?

I do not know if I can fully support his decision. I care for Andrew's health and do not want to see him talking like Bowe one day. He's taken a lot of punches from big punchers of the years and he'll be 41 soon.

    :think

If he really does not want to go out like this, please try and convince him to fight a farewell tomatoe can in Poland and then hang em up. A run for yet another crack at the title sounds nearly impossibe, especially with the Klitschkos monopolizing all of the belts.

If Austin really wanted to rematch Golota (although I do not see why he would after being credited with a first round TKO), then I would support Golota on this. He can beat Austin.

I told you guys years ago that AG was a very stubborn person.

He would have beat the hell outta Austin if not for the elbow. He has my support. He just needs to work his ass off to get into the best shape possible, stay positive & come into the fight TOTALLY WARMED UP.

    (((((((((GO GOLOTA)))))))))

    How serious is concussion?

AG: It is so bad that i have to get a tendon operation asap.

Im not doing this in China...but when i return to Chicago...

This was the same as in Byrd fight, only this worse. Much worse.

Do you know when you got the injury?

AG:Immediately at the start of fighting, in the first min. I do not know when, not if but rather when he turned.

I think i got a blow to my biceps when I wanted to hit Austin. It was really painfull...but I still wanted to fight, i tried to hit him with a right and it worked only once. I couldnt count on this tho, at this level I cant win a fight with only one hand.

    I couldnt even stand up.

Did you want to stop the fight in round 1?

Thats is not true. I didnt tell anyone I wanted to stop.

I had a chance to catch him with the right and I could of tried it, but the pain was so hard i had tears comming out of my eyes.

Is this the end of your career?

Ag: I cant tell you, becouse I dont even know it myself. This isnt a good question at this time.

Under the circumstances, A rematch would make perfect sense. Austin did not convincingly earn a title shot for Valuev, it was handed to him due to the injury.

A rematch would clear up everything for Golota.

It would tell him where he stands as far as his career is concerned.

If he performs well, go for the title. If he gets injured, looks slow and lethargic , then retirement would be the best thing to do.

DO NOT PUT ANDREW OUT TO PASTURE JUST YET!!!! AFTER BEING SCREWED OUT OF THE TITLE 2wice, HE DESERVES A CHANCE TO PROVE IT WAS JUST AN UNFORTUNATE INJURY AND THAT HE IS STILL CAPABLE OF WINNING THE TITLE!!!

    GO GOLOTA!!!
