I personally think Johnson is one man that has a chance to dethrone Calzaghe however he won't get the decision like always. Reason being if you noticed the last two fights both fighters backed themselves into the ropes/corners all night allowing Calzaghe to land 10-12 punches unanswered which wins rounds in boxing. Both Hopkins and Jones had Calzaghe down in the 1st round as we all know but both just slid back into the corner and allowed Calzaghe to get his mental state back thus allowing him to throw punches. This is where Johnson comes into play as the man never stops throwing punches ethier and does not ever back himself into a corner nor does Calzaghe have the power to move Johnson to the ropes/corners. If Johnson can maintain his usual workrate plus land a power shots that can put Calzaghe down he will not give him a break and this will cause Calzaghe huge problems. I say Calzaghe vs. Johnson would be a every stylistic match up with Johnson coming out on top even at 39. What do you guys think?

I think Calzaghe would beat Johnson rather handily, Calzaghe is a counter puncher at heart and loves his man to come at him, where he uses his quick hands and footwork to outbox them (he played a different role against RJJ and Hopkins as they took that role).

Kessler rematch, Hopkins or Dawson would be a bigger challenge (Hopkins probably being the hardest fight IMO); personally I think he should retire now though, he's not getting any younger and there's not a real standout fight for him now.

Remember Calzaghe was at Woods vs Johnson III and wanted Glen to win so they could fight(Warren put Woods in a tiny dressing room to upset him..didn't work) but Clinton got the decision.

Johnson should have won that 3rd bout. In fact, he won all 3 meetings. And yes, Johnson would be an excellent and viable opponent for Calzaghe. But I'm afraid he will be bypassed because of his lack of a name and 12 losses. Johnson would fight a very close fihgt with Calzaghe and could imagine a Road Warrior win.:smoke:smoke

I dont think Glenn can beat Joe.

But I think he is still one of the hardest fights out there for him and a credible name.

Very much agreed. People will count out the Road Warrior like always but how many of those losses did alot of people felt he won. I know Calzaghe will never look at him as a viable opponent but I think it would be a very close and compelling fight unlinke Jones and Hopkins who didn't even want to fight atleast thats how it looked.

I think Glen can beat Roy . . . probably better than Calzaghe.
