mikkel kessler. And that will be solidified by the great wins kessler has
coming up. Why should calz fight dawson when he can leave that fight
    for kessler?
Afterall, who at 175 could chad fight, while who's there really for kessler at 168. These 2 are the same size, and both are young bucks.
This is the fight that has to happen in this division.

Calzaghe should and will retire. he's earned it!

IF Calzaghe doesn't fight one of the Klitschko brothers he is a failure as a human being.

So he fought one guy who was in his prime and we're discussing his ATG status on here?

    My brain hurts.

He should probably be put on trial, somewhere.

    And his citizenship revoked !

So many threads about him not EVER facing a prime fighter since his saturday night beatdown of a great, so i'd like to make my own thread reputiating that bs argument.

    And what brain?

Yeah Kessler win was good. I think the disrespect to Calzaghe on this forum is a reaction to Calzaghe being overrated by his fans, which is in turn a reaction to the difficulty foreign fighters have getting recognition from Americans.

I've read many many threads about joe, and his fans on here rarely
overrate him. It's always in retaliation for all the disrespect he's gotten
by his many many critics on here too.

    Same size?

Kessler is 6' 1/2" while Chad is 6'3" and much longer reach. 6'3" is the same as David Haye - Dawson will be CW before Kessler is LHW. Kessler started at 150 FFS. Completely different sized.

My thought exactly. Joe is a great fighter who hasn't fought great fighters, at least not in their prime. With the exception of Kessler(who has not proven himself to be great yet), and B-Hop, his resume is lacking to be a ATG. The RJJ fight was pointless, and has no bearing on what people think of him.

Oh god. Well with that cutting response and wealth of evidence I now rate Joe above Carlos Monzon at 160 and Ezzard Charles at 175 cause he beat Mikkel Kessler.

    :patsch

This board has like 21308947 threads about Calzaghe being the greatest fighter this side of David Vs Goliath and the sum total of this thread is to point out that he has fought ONE prime fighter in his whole career and this suddenly is going to change the opinion of the opposing view in those 21308947 threads?

This hurts my brain like an episode of springer.

can someone tell me what calzaghe has done to deserve a retirement on the top... last time i checked his resume we had... old jones, old hopkins who people think because he spanked pavlik is a legitimate win... first of all pavlik is a one dimensional fighter that couldn't adjust to fighting the first pure boxer he ever ran against.... everyone he fought slugged it out with him... taylor and miranda.. hopkins didn't beat him with great stamina he just outboxed him and didnt have to exert any additional stamina... mikkel kessler.. who has mikkel kessler beaten to be herald has a great fighter lol... hes fighting at 168 where he and calzaghe were the only fighters considered any good... hes just an above average fighter to me.... looking good beating a bunch of bums does not make u great..... how does a fighter become legendary and they only fought one good figher in their prime that hasnt even been proven yet... he looked like a big amateur when he fought joe..

im sorry calzaghe hasnt shown me anything except that he can barely prevail against shot fighters.. who both dropped him... and hopkins almost beat him... and hopkins was landing the more clean and effective punches... look at the end of the fight and u will say who looked worst... hopkins didn't have a scratch on him.. while calzaghe looked like he was wrestling with a cat

At this time all the american ****** haters come crawling out so you shouldn't expect any less.
Just look at the above posts compete and utter garbage hopkins barely fought against calzaghe he just didn't know wtf to do so he held on ran in with his head and took some breathers.Oh and hopkins caught joe coming forward off balance and the jones one was a forearm smash to the bridge of the nose.

    Spot-on analysis.

This accounts for about 90% of the more rabid emotion the Welshman incites.

    Both pro and con.
