Jones won the first obviously and I gave him the second, all the rest were Calzaghe's fairly clearly. As soon as Calzaghe found the right hook to the body he was able to open Jones up more and more.
It would be interesting to see a breakdown of how many punches were fully blocked or partially blocked etc, a big factor in giving Jones more than 2 rounds would be how much credit you score for Calzaghe's punches that don't directly connect with the head or body, but have an obvious affect over time. At what point do fully blocked punches become effective aggression? If Roy had have thrown punches more consistantly, even if it was only 1 to every 5 or 6 Calzaghe threw whilst on the ropes, he could have looked a lot better.
i predicted the fight to be a one sided win for calzaghe. my score: 115-112 joe calzaghe imo joe could have made the fight alot easier that it looked but he decided to have some fun in there. at the end he had fun and got the job done.
round 3 was the most 1 sided round of the fight. Joe landed over 100 punches that round fooled abouit showboated and stuck his head through RJJ's guard. that round was closer to a 10-8 than it was for being a round to RJJ
