Did anyone else notice this in the pre fight limo interview? Joe always sounded very lucid and clear before. He seems to have develpoed the 'lisp' , another reason to retire I think.
Nah - he has never sounded particularly smart full stop. He should retire though, for different reasons.
I googled this - someone else commented on saddoboxing- definately had a pronounced lisp in Bunce interview unless this was a mouth injury or something. fleaman, Holyfield must have the worst case ever- how he is still allowed to fight is criminal
I've noticed this in recent years. He hasn't been involved in too many wars but it has been a long career.
Forget how he SOUNDS...the effects might not hit him for 10-30 years which is why he needs to stop NOW.
Couldnt agree more. Yes, he is 46-0, tantalisingly close to the unbeaten record. I would not risk losing the '0'.. Fighters like Dawson are too much of a risk to career record and health. Hopefully his money is well invested. Joes greatest challenge is to retire now.
