    if hopkins had more stamina that might be true but he doesn't have the energy to keep up with calzaghe for a full 12.

    I'm sure he's thinking about it as we speak. Probably not in that fashion though. He could throw in one or two stiffs along with two good fights. I wouldn't blame him for that, either, because 50% of you fights having integrity is actually pretty good (not 10% like his resume). I think he should fight Dawson, a tomato can, Kessler and a mummy. Or substitute Kessler with Hopkins. But something like that. I guess you could throw Winky in their because against joe he would amount to a stiff anyway. But given his recent double whammy on old men he peobably does not need to0 much more of that kind of attention.

    BTW I agree that Calzaghe is barely diminished. He has slowed down but also picked up a few things. He fough a brilliant fight against Kessler, and there is a substantial part of his career in which I dont think he had that performance in him.

    I think he should either quit now or got for 50-0. I don't think he will though, as others have stated he has lost his motivation. Can't agree that Hopkins would beat him, if they fought in the UK he wouldn't get away with his persistent holding (cheating). However I think Kessler would bust him up in a rematch.

    Nope. Don't believe it. He's made numerous references to the Marciono record over the years. It's obvious it's in the back, or maybe even the front, of his mind.

    this is the danger for hopkins in any potential rematch. if the fight follows a similar pattern and calzaghe's frantic workrate begins to take it's toll on bernard again then he's going to look to start putting into place his shady holding, butting, time wasting tactics, only this time the ref may not look so kindly upon them.

    Why not just bring in the ref that officiated the Hatton/Tszyu fight?

    If I was to pick a final 4 fights it would be between these guys;

    Dawson, Taylor, Pavlik, Abraham, Erdei, Froch, Johnson...If he fought on i wouldnt complain about any of these tbh...

    - Hopkins has called him out ... Hopkins rematch makes sense now.
    - Kessler has called him out ... Kessler should stick to his division for a while and try to clean it up
    - Wright has called him out ... he need just to retire, he become pathetic.
    - Dawson has called him out ... best fight right now, winner the true champion at LHW

    I can see him fighting dawson. no one else. he won't want rematches. if anything he wants to add one more good name to the Cv but i think he'll retire. He said after the Lacy fight that he'd do two more years. Well it's been two and a half so I think that could be a wrap on old joe

    well calzaghe was the 1 who seemed to adapt as the fight went on and lets be fair calzaghe was sluggish in tha fight he was much faster on sat and more focused so i think calzaghe would beat him a tad better people say benard would know calzaghes game but i think calzaghes ring intelligence is right up there and nobody seems to make better adjustments an him

    Yes, heading to 50-0 beating these people would help cement what he's done, without question. Especially beating Hopkins clearly in a rematch would impress me. It is something I do not believe he can do, so it would impress me a great deal. There is not as much reason to rematch Kessler since he beat him decisively. Dawson would be an excellent win. Winky would be a good name, but I'm not sure at this point what Winky would bring to the table given his inactivity and his tough defeat at the hands of Hopkins at 170lbs.
