Roy is so delusional it is pathetic. It is odd that when he suddenly stepped up his competition from the police officers and garbage men he was fighting to real full time fighters he either got knocked out or schooled. :think
why didnt the cutman get in the ring to treat the cut????instead he had to lean over alton from the wrong side of the apron!!
joe can take it as a tuneup. Make him 47-0, take on Dawson to be 48-0 and then Pavlik to be 49-0. Then take on some bum to go to 50-0
Roy is trying to find excuses to keep fighting, instead of facing that he doesnt have it anymore hes blaming others for his failures. thats just sad.
I have heard if adrenalin gets old it just doesn't work. They were applying it. Or maybe Roy is old enough to be taking a daily asprin? That will keep you from clotting also.
The cutman was a joke. I think Hopkins said after the fight that it seemed like the cutman was using a razorblade to treat Roy's wound. LOL, but very true based upon the results. Roy's cutman was a doctor who doesn't seem to know a lot about working with boxers and helping stop cuts suffered in the ring during a bout. I do think if Roy hadn't had the cut he would have fought better, but probably not well enough to have won or made the scores very much closer. But he couldn't see Joe's right hands and he couldn't aim his own punches as well with the closed, bleeding eye.
