Haven't seen Kessler since the Calzag fight I'm sure he is lookin better and better. Taylor's chin seemed to hold up in the 2nd Pavlik fight but Kessler is a rock. I'd bet on Kessler.
He is now, but he fought Taylor at middleweight, so that argument doesn't really work. Depends on how Taylor looks against Lacy i guess and how he bounces back from the Pavlik losses, but i'd go with a Kessler decision in a close fight.
:happy Go Jermain!!! Kessler would be the favourite here, but Taylor has a pretty decent chance of pulling it off. Taylor by Decision... :err
By bigger I meant 'naturally'. Hopkins started at 175 and slimmed his way into a lower weight. Kessler started at 150 and grew up to 168. Hopkins is taller and have longer reach than Kessler. So by most accounts Hopkins is bigger than Kessler. And Jermain beat him. I think Jermain is an incredibly difficult fighter to beat and Pavlik just happened to have his number.
I wanna see Taylor at 168, he looked good at 164 vs. Pavlik in the rematch, but Pavlik was able to catch him almost the entire fight with his jab... Kessler has a really amazing jab. JT also has a great left hand, I think the winner would be whoever could establish his jab
This is a real toss up. Taylor's performance with Lacy will have a lot to say about this match up. But right now I'd take Taylor. I think his overall athleticism and handspeed would pull him through. I've got no argument for those picking Kessler, this is a 50/50 fight.
If Taylor had trouble with Pavlik's jab, he would have fits with Kessler's Kessler takes him to school in this one...he's too strong and too good!!
