Yeah Hopkins is not generous in defeat. I dont think that went down well with Joe. He tends to give props when he can i.e. after the jones fight saying he showed heart to carry on to the end and big upping kessler at the post fight press conference.

I am afraid it does. It is the attempted degrading of someone using racist slurs that is the issue. This is unacceptable in any context. Hopkins is a racist of the highest order and by giving him a rematch Calzaghe would be encouraging it to continue. Without question Calzaghe is doing the right thing by not rewarding Hopkins disgusting behavior.

I do not believe for a second that Calzaghe was truly offended by it. The guy has nearly 50 fights and has probably been insulted countless times before fights. It is just an excuse and it seems to sell as a lot of guys here believe him. Just remember, Hopkins does his talk every time.

Nonsense, these are tough professional fighters and not some pussies.
They are not really concerned by this outside the ring talk, it is just business.

Can you blame Joe for not wanting a rematch? Did you see the look on his face before the decision was read out?

Why would you rematch a guy that spends 75% of the fight trying to grope another man in the ring?

    Once really is enough.

Whilst in truth Hopkins deserves a rematch - does anyone want to see that again?

    Wrong.
I can assure you there are alot of people that took it seriously.
And correctly so, may I add.

While his white boy comments didnt upset me, it certainly was racist no matter how you look at it.

I was more offended by his lack of graciousncess after a clear defeat by Calzaghe.

I think the fact that Hopkins fought like John Ruiz in the fight with all of the clinching, holding, and grabbing not to mention the fake low blows is why he is not getting a rematch. Hopkins made that fight BORING and the way he fought was a disgrace.

Jones gave Tarver a rematch after their first fight that he won by a majority decision. Joe won by split decision with Hopkins and it was a very close fight. Joe needs to man up and give Hopkins the rematch.

Hopkins gave Calzaghe the fight? What other options did Hopkins have at that time? Hopkins lost and I'm afraid he's got to live with that, you think Calzaghe wouldn't make adjustments too?

Yeah whatever you think, if Calzaghe said anything like that he would've been forced outta the game for sure. Double standards come to mind. He's right to call him a racist because thats exactly what you would"ve called Calzaghe if he had said the same. I ****ing hate double standards with a passion but it seems some have the right and some dont, why is that? Someone try and give a valid argument.
