He had Golota down in the first few seconds, without any injury. Why in the world would a rematch be needed here? Austin came in with the perfect game plan and in the best shape of his life. Everything clicked. Its no accident that Colona stated a week before that this fight was 50/50 for Andrew. I believe most people here are underestimating Austin, based solely on a single performance against Wlad. Based on what I've seen from Austin before his fight with Klit, a victory would be far from guaranteed even if AG did not sustain this injury. In many ways, I suspected that Austin would be a more dangerous opponent for AG than Valuev. A rematch doesn't make that much sense. Would you want Andrew to get KO'd again in Poland, in his farewell fight? That would make for a very traumatic memory for all Golotaholics. In general, trying to avenge your losses is a good thing. Trying to avenge losses when you're as deteriorated as Golota is these days, is suicidal.
Guys.............in truth we saw this deterioration coming, way back from the Jeremy "Master" Bates fight.

It seems every single one of Golota's fights are either dramatic, controversial, bizarre or inconclusive. There will never ever be another boxer remotely similar to Andrew Golota.

Seen the fight on U Tube, and Andrew didn't look bad. Before he hurt his arm, he started to jab. Then he started to look at his arm, stop jabbing then didn't look good. I think it could be a good fight if they fight again.

He's clueless and just using the good ol' cliches. In reality there were no such fights in Golota's career. The closest I can think of were the McBride, Mollo and Sanders fights in which Golota rallied back from being in some trouble, but was never knocked down in any of them. Maybe he confused Golota for Klitschko? Maybe for Peter? Or maybe our translator is having a bad day.:conf

Austin's being very gracious about all this...and like I say, if he wants to set up a rematch then hey, may as well go for it.

    Good point!

    That's right.

And when Golota fights again, for the love of God, someone please tell him to cover up within the first round. How in God's name does golota keep getting iced so early in his fights, it's getting ridiculous.

Lewis, Tyson, Brewster, McBride (to some extent), and now Austin. Unbelievable.
