Ok I'm scratching my head here wondering how you came up with that rematch as a huge fight.

 

Haye vs. Klitschko would be huge in Europe, although it would need some build up. Definetly a good HW fight by Haye with a highlight reel knockout.

Calzaghe vs. Pavlik if Pavlik were able to beat Hopkins more convincingly then Joe did.

Klitschko vs. Klitschko would be the biggest maybe,
Hatton vs. De La Hoya or Pac would be a very close second.
Haye vs. Klitschko is a very big fight, as woud Jones Jr vs Hopkins.
Cotto vs Mayweather as well.

Only the top two would have mainstream crossover appeal, IMO.

 

Mike Tyson vs anyone.

Still would sell a mill plus if he got into shape and the same people that somehow conned fans into believing RJJ had something to offer were promoting it.

I highly disagree with that list save for the first fight and maybe, maybe mosley- hatton. I'm not sure if ll-Vitali would be that big in the US. Pavlik- Hopkins only did 190 k and that was BEFORE Pavlik was reduced to a b-level fighter. Who would lay down 40+$ to watch him a guy that lost to B-Hop and is a snozzer(Wright) or a unproven fighter (Duddy).
Campbell is not thzat big a name, same for cotto. I think most of these fight would have a hard time cracking 200-250 k.

If Pac IMPRESSIVELY beats DLH, this fight is coming...And it could be just as big as DLH-Mayweather imo.

 

The sold out arena thing is really not that impossible. All it takes is good matchmaking and good advanced location scouting. For example, Juan Diaz-Michael Katsidis put 14,000 + in the Toyota Center in Houston, Lucian Bute put over 14,000 in the Bell Centre in Montreal. Fights in Germany and Europe sell out all the time. Which of course, leads to the problems with the current state of PPV boxing. Imagine what the numbers would be if the fights weren't all $54.95-$59.95. With the right promotion, a lot of fights would do close to a million buys.
