Who's been down more times ? Dawson or Calzaghe?

Well, given that one has had 27 fights, the other 46, what is the point of this thread?

 

4 official times joe has hit the canvas,and the last two in the first round of his last two fights,......may be it is time to retire???

I dont see the point of this thread, calzaghe has been fighting for 17 years pro, dawson 7 years pro..

Chad: 3 times

Only guy between them to get knocked down by a guy who weighed 158 for the fight: Dawson.

Guy who fights aggressively because he trusts his chin to hold up instead of hiding a glass chin: Calzaghe.

Not to mention more fights, rounds for Joe.

I've mentioned this before but it bears repeating: Joe fights with total impunity (hands down against Roy, ...) because he knows his chin and recovery can take it. Chad fights sheepishly, in part, because he knows his beard won't hold up. Chad has, himself, said "I know there are questions about my chin."

There aren't any questions about Joe's chin, and that's why he can fight as recklessly as he does, while Chad goes turtle protecting his jaw.

After Roy dropped Joe with a power forearm in the 1st, Roy landed good lead and counter rights, not to mention the big uppercut that brought the Roy Boyz out the seats.

Effect: Zero

In fact, right after the uppercut you can see Joe swinging through his own punch, not at all concerned with the shot he just took.

If Chad had Joe's chin, I would be a lot more concerned that he wouldn't turn out to be the overhyped fraud waiting to be exposed I think he is. However, he does not have that chin. Joe does, and that's part of the reason Joe is the ATG he is. If JC didn't have that beard, he never would be able to fight as he does and likely would have been far less successful than he has been in his career.

 

I am sick of these American fans trying to compare Dawson to Calzaghe. Dawson is "B" grade in comparison. This overhyped hommie would get schooled if Joe wasted his time fighting him. This crap is Lacy all over again. Dawson is unwilling to face his mandos but wants to talk his way into a payday. The only thing more pathetic than that are the Calzaghe haters that are trying to hype Dawson.
