Excellent news. As much as I like BHop, the guy whom Joe should fight is Dawson. :bbb

Joe is only now beginning to realize his marketability and earning potential at this late stage of his career. As much as he wants to leave the game, it would be a foolish business decision to walk away from at least one more highly-lucrative fight.

Calzaghe is slowly but surely building a hell of a legacy

Dawson is not a big draw, and Calzaghe-Jones did horrible PPV numbers.

A Froch fight or Dawson would be good.I'd enjoy Hopkins II too prolly.

Looks like Calzaghe is trying to do a deal with Sky Box Office, so his next fight we'll be on ppv...

I know Froch's promoter is signed with ITV, but surely Sky would prefer an all British showdown for ppv sales..? Just a thought.

Still id prefer Dawson, he'd get less stick if he takes that fight.

Hopkins has earnt a rematch, although it'd be a boring fight.

If anyone, I'd like to see him against Dawson.

froch would be okay they've had abit of banter over the last few years may have abit of needle in the build up.
hopkins we all know that would sell!!!!!
dawson for me would be the hardest to sell over here in britian and would probably be the hardest fight for joe but then again maybe joe would once again prove us all wrong.

But Joe got paid big (lowest estimate I've heard yet is $7 Million), and the 24/7 spot helped build his visibility here in the USA. HBO is looking forward to doing more business with him by all accounts.

If any fight goes ahead at the millenium, then the ppv sales become less relavant due to the volume of tickets sold.
I still think bhop will bring most ppv sales?

I doubt many people would wanna watch a Hopkins fight again, and I dont think Calzaghe would want Hopkins' spoiling tactics ruining his final night.

I think its betwen Froch and Chad Dawson...and Froch hasnt beaten Pascal yet so there is no guarentees there.

Great point, JC. Thanks for bringing that up. :good

Joe has his promoter's license now and will probably pitch his own cards from here on in, as he did with Roy Jones (they co-promoted the fight). Which means more of the take for Calz.
