Because Barret is a quick Heavyweight, it will look like the matrix against the bigger lumbering heavyweights.

Barrett might be **** but one thing that you cant say is that he is slow. He is exceptionally fast for a heavyweight. Haye was faster than him thus proving his speed and power are no joke. He didnt test his chin, grit or stamina though because like I said Barrett is ****.

Nothing wrong with Hayes speed, probably still the quickest heavyweight there.

Its Haye strength in the clinches he need to improve on, he didny bully Barrett when he got in close and against a bigger heavyweight like a Klitschko that could be his downfall. I think the longer he stays a heavy, the stronger he'll get but at this moment in time, thats the biggest problem I see for him.

If he wants to test stamina he should fight John Ruiz and see how he can handle 12 rounds of holding and wrestling. If he wants to test his chin then he should fight someone like Peter or Brewster. If he wants to try his speed fight someone like Toney or Chambers.

    Some fair points.

I think for preperation for a Klitschko, you need to face somebody tall and pretty strong.

Ruiz would def give an idea on Hayes strength on the inside, but a lumbering with Ruiz for 12 rounds isnt a good idea as even if Haye wins, which i think he would, Ruiz has a habit of making pople look bad.

I think your right with your picks,Haye should im for someone like Peter, Brewster, Toney, Thompson, Chambers etc.

The best combination of speed & power i would say.... Wlad from 2004 edges him in that department, but Wlad seemed to have declined a bit there during he last fights it seems.

I agree with you. Haye was fast, but he didn't show the blinding hand speed that I expected, and that he's shown in the past.

Possibly Haye negated his hand speed because he was trying to load maximum power into his blows. It was obvious that Barrett was swinging wide, slow punches and leaving his chin wide open, so Haye may have been gunning for a one punch kayo.

Barrett was fast in his younger days, but now his handspeed seems badly faded. He telegraphed all of his punches last night.

He looked pretty quick to me. Is punches also made a dent especially that left hook. One things for sure if he fights Wlad or vitali, it'll be a war because he might actually get clipped and hurt and lets see if he comes back like he did against mormeck. If he faces Wlad, Wlad won't be able to get away with Ibgramovic.
